Renato Dias

Renato is a founding partner and the Chief Product and Innovation Officer at Camino Education. He was responsible for Curriculum, Assessment and Educational Quality at Somos Educação, having overseen teams involved in the development of curricula for several educational systems and content branches at the company, reaching over 30 million students in Brazil.


He has also been accountable for the conceptualizing online platforms and solutions for curriculum development and integration among content, assessment and in-class practice, such as BNCC na Prática – which is used by thousands of private and public school teachers in adapting their materials to the national curriculum standards.


Previously, Renato developed a large portfolio of projects through Lampião, a research and social innovation consulting group helping institutions with high impact, large scale, economically viable solutions. He led projects with Villa Schools in Bahia, Instituto BRF, Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, Instituto Alana and the Secretaria de Educação do Estado de Santa Catarina (SEE-SC).


As an Associate Researcher for the UNESCO office in Montevideo, Renato developed research on large-scale assessment platforms around the world.

As Head of Content and Research at RAPS, a brazilian NGO focused on improving the quality of democracy in the country, he managed processes of research and content production in themes such as political participation, public policy quality, sustainability and economic scenario. He has also overseen the release of policy proposals for over 200 political leaders in Brazil, reaching from local city council representatives to governors and senate members.


Renato has a Master’s Degree in International Political Economy from Universidade de São Paulo (USP), and is certified in International Organizations Management by the Université de Genève, Switzerland. He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Pontifícia Universidade Católica (PUC – SP).
